Siberia Film Night
Siberia Film Nights is an international showcasing opportunity for new and established artists working with film and video/moving image. We aim to develop opportunities for artists to show and critically discuss work.
Submission Terms & Conditions
The participant to Siberia Film Night agrees to the following:
- The duration of video works are maximum 10 minutes.
- Work submitted should be non-commercial artwork only.
- All submissions, maximum of 3 must have an acceptable screening quality and suitable to show on a single channel screen.
- All submitted works must be on a Mini DV tape (PAL) or stored on CD or DVD as data video file:
QuickTime movie in SD format DV PAL (25fps, 720 x 576 px), HD (High Definition) formats will not be excepted.
- Work submitted on Mini DV should start and end with 10 seconds of black. If submitting several works, you do not need a separate tape for each work, but please leave 10 seconds of black in-between works. If submitting data video files), export in QuickTime DV PAL (25fps, 720 x 576 px) format and burn onto CD or DVD.
- Each work must have the title of the work and the artist name in the beginning.
- If you want your work to be returned to you, please send a stamped addressed envelope for the appropriate amount withyour submission - no returns will be made without this.
- Siberia Film Night cannot offer any payment for work(s) screened.
- I guarantee that I have exclusive copyright on all submitted materials.
- I agree to Siberia Film Night using my work(s) for promoting and advertising purposes.
- I agree to let Siberia Film Night keep or copy my work(s) for their archives to be used for other non-commercial screenings/events that Siberia Film Night is involved in, which I will be informed about in advance, and have the right to decline.
Screening of work
Work, if selected by the Siberia Film Team, will be shown on one of our film nights during the year, Siberia has the right to select work for any one event during the year for curatorial reasons. If your work is selected, you will be encouraged to attend the screening, as discussion about the work is an integral part of the events.
Return of work
If you want your work to be returned to you, please send a stamped addressed envelope for the appropriate amount with your submission-no returns will be made without this.
