Call for artists / Winter 08/09 screening / Extended Deadline!

We are looking for well presented innovative and experimental work - either in terms of method, focus or technique. The work must be suitable for screenings, rather than being installation based.

Background for the open submission

Siberia Film Night open submission events aim to be a forum for visual debate. Pre-determined themes or approaches will not be set by the organiser: instead it is intended these will emerge from the works submitted and the evening will reflect current activity of national and international artists. Participants are encouraged to be present at the screenings for a dialogue with the audience.
The screening is followed by an informal social event with drinks, Champagne bar and Russian cookies.

Extended deadline for submission - 13/02/2009

Due to curatorial reasons our new deadline for submission is Friday 13th of February 2009. We would like to thank all the artists for their submissions, you will hear from us shortly if you haven't heard from us yet.

Selected artists will be announced on our website early 2009
